Internship Simulated AMOS environment
EXSYN Aviation Solutions designs and provides a variety of digital solutions aimed at optimizing aircraft airworthiness and data management. Our range of solutions focus primarily on data processing, advanced data analytics & predictions, data storage, automation and related technical consulting services. EXSYN works closely with industry-leading airlines, MRO’s and OEM’s worldwide. We run our operations from our main office at the Amsterdam Airport, however, our work field is global.
Internship and Area assignment: Simulated AMOS Environment
Aviation maintenance is a critical aspect of the airline industry. Airlines and MROs rely heavily on sophisticated software solutions like AMOS to manage and track various aspects of maintenance, including material management, component maintenance, financial management, flight-ops, and many more. We are committed to continuous improvement, and rigorous testing of AMOS software is vital to ensure its reliability, effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. To that end, we are seeking an intern to help us create simulated AMOS environments for internal testing purposes. The intern will have the opportunity to explore a research question:
The research will focus on:
“How does the performance and reliability of AMOS software in a simulated environment compare to its performance in a real-world aviation maintenance setting?”
The creation of a simulated AMOS environment is essential for several reasons:
Enhanced Testing: A simulated environment will allow us to rigorously test our software without the risk associated with real aircraft. We can simulate various scenarios, error conditions, and data inputs to evaluate AMOS' performance under diverse conditions.
Data Privacy and Security: Handling real aviation maintenance data can be sensitive due to privacy and security concerns. Simulated data eliminates these issues while still allowing us to test AMOS comprehensively.
Cost Efficiency: Real-world testing can be expensive and time-consuming. By using simulated data, we can accelerate testing processes and reduce testing costs.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring the high quality of AMOS is paramount. A simulated environment enables continuous quality assurance and helps us identify and rectify issues promptly.
During the internship, the intern will:
Gain an understanding of data simulation: Create synthetic data that mimics real aviation maintenance data, including flight logs, workorders, task data, maintenance histories, and more.
Gain a more in-depth understating of database management: Set up a database to store and manage the simulated data efficiently.
Gain an understanding of integration techniques: Integrate the simulated data into our existing AMOS software, enabling it to function as if it were managing real-world aviation maintenance data.
User Interface: Develop a user-friendly interface to interact with the simulated environment, allowing for data input, analysis, and visualization.
Gain an understanding of testing frameworks: Create a testing framework to systematically evaluate AMOS in the simulated environment, covering various scenarios and stress tests.
Contribute significantly to feature development within the EXSYN landscape.
Establish technical documentation for future reference.
During this internship, a combination of fieldwork, theoretical research and modeling are to be expected.
