Many airlines and MRO's have entered the path of digital transformation; the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business. They started to get all their paper records in digital format, implement a new MRO/M&E software and/or adding other software’s such as EFB, ETL, analytical software tools, fuel efficiency tool and so on. This means that data made available in systems is increasing enormously and in specific Engineering & Maintenance departments are faced with an even more diversified and sometimes also much more complex digital landscape than ever before. Data is part of every action taken and right away available in the systems this improves informed decision making, however also comes with new challenges.
